The aim to develop core competence in Physics and prepare the students to carry out the development work as well as to take up challenges in the research. The department offers M. Phil and Ph. D programmer in the advanced areas of research in physics from 2018. Since the early stage, the Department has basic infrastructural facilities, like laboratories with all the basic amenities and instruments. The Department with strength of 17 faculty members caters to the needs of around 316 UG and 71 PG students of the college. The faculty members are dedicated to student’s development in various academic and non academic activities.
