The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics was established with undergraduate 2012 and Postgraduate 2018 with a vision to educate and mold more scholars in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics with its vast scope and versatile applications. Nutrition and Dietetics is an integrated and a professional program preparing students to work as Nutritionists and Dieticians and explore how it affects the health of the individual and the nation, and also to discover how diet can be used in the treatment of diseases. The mission of the programme is to inculcate healthy lifestyle aspects in the mindset of students and explore them in various sectors such as Nutritionist, Food Industrial Entrepreneurs and by motivating them to develop highly affordable therapeutic food products, nutrition counsellors and educators by creating remarkable awareness to the society.

The overall personality of our students has remarkable change by providing quality education and regular internship and training. The Department Guide the students extracurricular skills through activities by the name of “DIET COUNSELLING CENTRE. Since its inception, the department has directed its activities towards development of the community to shape the prospective academicians, administrators, researchers, serving the society in accordance with scientific findings and ethical values.
