The Department of Economics was started in the year 2012 with UG degree (B.A Economics English Medium), B. A Economics Tamil Medium was started in the year 2019 and upgraded as Post Graduate Department (M.A Economics) during the year 2017 and M.Phil & Ph.D during 2019 in response to the growing demand for Economics Education. The Department is on its constant endeavor to maintain academic excellence by imparting the students with the necessary skills to face the challenges of the present day competitive world. Students of this department have been winning University rank and Gold medal year after year.
